General Certification Answers

How will certification help my organization?
Certification validates and confirms your organization's ongoing commitment to quality and competency in the services you provide your Taleo customers. Validated knowledge and expertise reduce risk of troublesome engagements and promote other value-add services from your company to the client.

Taleo certifications provide core product knowledge that enables accurate and up-to-date understanding of Taleo Enterprise Edition Recruiting™ and its basic reporting tool. A variety of core courses, including hands-on exercise labs, is followed by an assessment to validate your retention of benchmark knowledge. Successful completion of all courses and a passing grade on the assessment results in your individual certification.

How long will it take my team members to earn certifications?

Core level: Within 3 months
Expert level: Within 6-9 months
Elite level: Within 9-12 months

Note: Time frames can be accelerated through available Boot Camp options.

How long is my individual certification valid?
It is valid for one year from the date you passed your assessment.

How long is an organization-level certification valid?
It is valid for one year from the date the required number of team members passed their assessments.

Renewal Answers

How frequently will renewals be required for individuals?
Anticipated frequency is on an annual basis as a result of system releases/upgrades.

How will we be notified of indidual/organization-level renewals?
You will be notified by email from either the Certification Program Manager or the Taleo University Education Coordinator.

When will we be notified of individual/organization-level renewals?
You will be notified 45 days prior to the expiration to arrange for upgrade classes and/or upgrade assessments.

What is required for TCA individual recertification?
You must attend a virtual upgrade training session (6 hours) and successfully pass updated assessment for core courses. A study guide/outline will be provided by Taleo University to prepare for the updated assessment.

What is required for all other individual certification renewals?
You must successfully pass the updated assessment for core courses. A study guide/outline will be provided by Taleo University to prepare for the updated assessment.

What is required for organization-level recertification?
You must maintain the minimum number of team members with the individual certifications required for each organization level, Core, Expert or Elite

What happens if a certified individual leaves the organization? Do we lose the organization-level certification?
At the time of your organizational renewal it will be determined if you have the minimum number of team members with valid individual certifications. If your organization no longer has the minimum number required your organization will be granted a six-month grace period in which to have the individual certifications achieved.

Registration and Pricing Questions

How do I register for courses?
You can register online at Taleo University after signing the Scope of Work (SOW) for the certification program level your organization desires.

How do I denote my partner's preferred pricing during the registration process?
You will be asked during registration to select your payment method and a discount/group code. You will select a Taleo SOW, Education Order or Purchase Order form option and enter the discount code provided as a result of the signed SOW or order form.
